Celebrating Lunar New Year!
On behalf of all of us at Equitable, we’d like to wish you a very happy Lunar New Year. May the Year of the Snake bring you much success and happiness!
Lunar New Year falls on the first new moon of the lunar calendar, January 29, 2025, and celebrations last for about two weeks.
To recognize and celebrate Lunar New Year and Chinese-Canadian culture, we have commissioned a series of works from B.C. artist Steffi Lai. Her piece “Year of the Snake” is featured on our Chinese Markets webpage and other marketing assets. We are thrilled to collaborate with Steffi and showcase her beautiful artwork. -

FasatWeb Upgrade Implementation
At Equitable, we are making continuous improvements to our advisor services. We are excited to share some upcoming enhancements to FasatWeb—Equitable’s compensation inquiry system.
What’s new?
On January 20, 2024, Equitable is implementing changes to FasatWeb. These changes include:
● Single sign-on has been enabled. Once you log into EquiNet, you won’t have to log in again to access Compensation Inquiry.
● Compensation Inquiry (FasatWeb) can be accessed using MS Edge, Chrome, or Firefox. Compensation Inquiry will no longer run on Internet Explorer.
● Compensation Inquiry screens will now have a new look and feel.
● Two new features have been added to the Activity Analyser, as are highlighted in the image below:
1. Advanced Export—an Advanced Export button has been added to the upper right side of the page, allowing you to export all query results.
2. Column visibility—the new Column visibility tab allows you to choose which columns you’d like to display in your PDF or print request.

New! Digital Beneficiary Change Request option for clients (Individual insurance)
Great news! Equitable® has introduced a new Digital Beneficiary Change Request option for life insurance clients on Client Access.
Clients with eligible plans can now choose to make beneficiary changes directly online. It is another step in Equitable’s journey of enhancing the client experience.
Which plans are eligible?
Eligible
• Individually owned plans with revocable beneficiary designations.
• Plans with policy owners not living in Quebec.

Important Changes to your Equitable EquiNet Login
We know that in today’s world, you have a lot of logins and passwords to go with them.
Equitable® is taking steps to increase the security of your EquiNet® login while simultaneously removing the need for you to remember a password.
This technology is called passkeys.
A passkey will enable you to access all the great features EquiNet has to offer by using biometrics.
You probably already have passkeys set up if you have an Amazon, Apple, Google, Uber or WhatsApp account.
How passkeys will work on EquiNet:

This authentication method is available now and will be optional to start. However, we strongly encourage you to use it. It is the next generation of security and makes for one less password for you to remember.
All you need to do is log in to EquiNet as you normally would and follow the step-by-step prompts to enable a passkey. It’s that easy.

Let’s talk about Critical Illness insurance, the Equitable way.
Having critical illness insurance benefits in an important time of need is so valuable. Get the right critical illness insurance coverage for your clients.
In 2022, we made some significant updates to our EquiLiving® Critical Illness insurance plans to provide better choices and features for clients.
These significant updates included:
● The addition of Acquired Brain Injury as a covered condition
● The addition of 20 pay options allowing more choice when choosing the right plan for your clients
● The removal of the age restriction for juveniles to claim for Loss of Independent Existence
Plus, a Canadian first, the addition of Cloud DX. Cloud DX is a value-added service that provides remote patient monitoring to claimants in addition to the full critical illness benefit paid by Equitable Life®. Cloud DX delivers medical grade hardware directly to the client so that Cloud DX can remotely monitor their vitals to help ensure they are on and stay on the road to recovery.
View our new Critical Illness video on YouTube or Vimeo!
With these updates and more, EquiLiving Critical Illness Insurance is there for clients, not only at time of their claim but also during their recovery. To learn more about Critical Illness insurance, the Equitable way, contact your local wholesaler.
*Cloud DX is a non-contractual benefit and may be withdrawn or changed by Equitable Life® at any time. To be eligible for the Cloud DX offering, a claimant must be age 12 or older and have received payment on or after February 12, 2022 for a covered critical condition benefit under an individual critical illness insurance policy issued by Equitable Life. An early detection benefit payment does not qualify. Equitable Life pays for 6 months of Cloud DX subscription fees. If the claimant wishes to continue the Cloud DX service after 6 months, they will be responsible for the cost.
