Clients can now submit a death claim online at www.equitable.ca/claims.
With this launch, eligible beneficiaries can submit certain individual life insurance and wealth death benefit claims online. This new option will provide a guided way for clients to submit death benefit claim information and supporting documents through our website.
The online form gives claimants a simple, additional option for starting a death claim. There is no change to the role advisors play in supporting clients and beneficiaries at claim time.
We're sharing this now so you're aware of the new option should you see it on our website or receive questions from clients or beneficiaries. A broader launch is planned for the fall.
