Coming in January: More support for women’s health through Dialogue
We will share this information with your clients.
In January, we will add further women’s health support to our standard virtual health care service, provided by Dialogue. Launched earlier this year, Dialogue’s women’s health service offers specialized menopause and perimenopause care through their secure web and mobile platforms.
What this means for your clients
Clients with Dialogue virtual health care will automatically gain access to the women’s health service on Jan. 1, 2027. Their premium for Dialogue’s virtual health care services will be adjusted at their next renewal to reflect the enhancement.
Clients with traditional or myFlex Benefits® plans who don’t have Dialogue virtual health care but wish to add the service – including the women’s health service – to their plan can submit an amendment request.
Equitable EZBenefits® clients will automatically receive access to the women’s health service through their embedded Dialogue virtual health care access.
Extra support for menopause and perimenopause
The women’s health service from Dialogue provides access to dedicated health practitioners in menopause and perimenopause care. Practitioners are trained with content from the Canadian Menopause Society. They include medical doctors, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, mental health specialists and care coordinators.
Dialogue’s women’s health clinicians can help to make the transition to perimenopause or menopause smoother by providing care and treatment for many different symptoms, including:
-
vasomotor symptoms, such as hot flashes;
-
changes in sleep habits;
-
genitourinary symptoms, such as recurring urinary tract infections (UTIs);
-
genital symptoms, such as vaginal dryness or discomfort;
-
mood and cognitive changes, such as anxiety or low mood; and
-
medication management for hormonal and non-hormonal medications.
Care may include diagnosis, counselling, treatment, lab or imaging investigations, ongoing management and referrals to in-person specialists (when applicable). Practitioners can also help plan members find local clinics, labs and imaging centres.
Faster support for menopause and perimenopause
Equitable plan members will receive an appointment with a Dialogue menopause and perimenopause health clinician within one week of their intake, allowing them to access the support they need faster.
Plan members will also have access to a large virtual library of bilingual resources tailored to women’s health, available anytime through Dialogue’s secure platform. Topics include:
-

Dialogue’s standard virtual health care offering already provides members with access to several fertility services, including preconception counselling, fertility investigations, referrals for treatment and alternative family-building options, pregnancy counselling and mental health support following pregnancy loss.
Dialogue plans to expand its women’s and family health solution with additional services over time.
