Is it time to revisit bonds?
You see the interest rate predictions and talk of inflation in the news every day. What should clients do? Is it time to consider bonds?
Join our webcast with Darcy Briggs, Senior Vice-President, Portfolio Manager, of the Franklin Canadian Core Plus Bond Fund, for insights on the impacts of interest rates and inflation movement on bond portfolios and how to navigate during this time of uncertainty.
Darcy and the team skillfully combine Canadian core bonds with non-core fixed income opportunities to create a solution that is built around a foundation of high-quality Canadian bonds. They opportunistically add “off benchmark” securities for added yield and diversification.

Generating client policy information is easy with Equitable
Did you know that Equitable® makes it easy to create a report with client policy information using Policy Inquiry? This tool makes a simple PDF that gives advisors and clients all the policy details they need to talk about investment goals.
Key features of the Policy Inquiry tool:• Exclude “Advisor Only Information” sections: Customize the report by leaving out sections meant only for advisors.Generate the report just before meeting with a client to have the most current information. You can find this tool in the top right corner of the client’s policy page on EquiNet®. It is a great takeaway or follow-up item for client meetings.
• Access active links to fund pages with risk ratings: Quickly go to fund pages and check risk ratings from the report.
• View calendar and compound returns: See a clear picture of a client's investment performance history with detailed return information.

Reminder: Beneficiary designations for children’s CI policies
When a critical illness (CI) insurance policy or rider is issued for a minor, it’s important to ensure beneficiary designations accurately reflect clients’ intentions. Without a beneficiary on file, or with a minor designated without a trustee, an approved claim may need to be paid to the court or the Public Trustee. This can cause delays at a time when families may urgently need access to support.
Help clients name a beneficiary on their juvenile critical illness policy today. This isn’t just a safeguard to avoid court or Public Trustee delays at claim time. It’s a reflection of your expertise and care.
For more information, see our client support resource below. To view the link below, you will need to log in to your EquiNet® account.

New! Performance and perspective participating fund report
Performance and perspective is a powerful new resource at your fingertips! It supports client conversations about Equitable’s participating fund. It’s designed to give you a transparent view of 2025 participating fund performance to help you explain long term value simply, and position Equimax® participating whole life as a long term solution, not just a product.
View the Performance and perspective report:

Reasons to use Performance and perspective
• It helps you explain with clear visuals how the participating fund is managed, not just how it performed.
• It strengthens your conversations and builds client confidence by showing the participating fund asset mix, historical performance and long term approach all in one place.
Why this matters to clients
• They get transparency into where the participating fund assets are invested.
• They can see how participating solutions are managed over time, not year to year.
• They gain confidence in long term planning decisions, supported by facts.
