  1. Retirement Income Options from Equitable Life
    If you have clients who are reaching retirement age and have a Retirement Savings Plan or locked-in funds from a previous employer, the government requires them to convert these plans by December 31 of the year they turn 71.
     
    If your client is converting a plan, ask them about other existing assets. This is a great opportunity for your client to consolidate assets from other providers; and for you to discuss a lower management fee through Equitable Life’s Pivotal Select Preferred Pricing Program.

Thousands of tech-savvy advisors like yourself are currently taking advantage of text message updates on their Equitable new business application status.
     
    Approximately 70% of new Equitable insurance applications submitted are choosing to receive real-time status updates via text notifications.

    To opt-in, next time you submit an online insurance application, simply check 'Yes' on the Advisor Report when asked “Would you like to receive text notifications (SMS) regarding this application?”  You can opt-out at anytime by texting "Stop."

  6. Equitable Savings & Retirement communications are changing We’re revamping Equitable’s Savings & Retirement client communications! Our new letters give us the opportunity to ensure we are providing the right information in the right way to our clients.

    As well as refreshing the look and feel of our letters, we’ve updated the content to be more clear, inclusive, and informative. This new experience will help show clients that we understand their needs and are here to support them in their investment journey.
    Notable enhancements you can expect to see in our letters include:

    •  New layouts that provide a consistent experience
    •  Digestible content written in plain language
    •  Investment data organized in easy-to-review tables
    •  Easily identifiable next steps and contact details

    The rollout of the new letters began in June, starting with our client Welcome/Confirmation letter. You can access a copy of the client’s letters on EquiNet®.

  7. Change to the Equitable Life Active Balanced Income Fund effective July 1, 2025 We’re making a small change to the Equitable Life Active Balanced Income Fund. The fund’s investment split was previously 50/50 between stocks (equities) and bonds (fixed income). As of July 1, the split changed to 40% stocks and 60% bonds.

    Clients invested in the Equitable Life Active Balanced Income Fund will be notified of this change via their statement.

    Why this change matters:
    This change ensures the three Equitable Life Active Balanced funds are better differentiated from each other, covering a wider range of client needs.
