Equimax Participating Whole Life illustration reports are getting a makeover!
As you’ve heard us say before, we focus exclusively on our clients and partners. We are continually looking for ways to make it easier to do business with Equitable®. With this in mind, we’ve taken a long hard look at our illustration reports for Equimax® Participating Whole Life. We have updated our reports to help make them easier to use.
The new Equimax illustration report will have:
● A new look and feel that matches our refreshed branding
● Updated content that is clearly written and client-friendly
● A reorganized layout based on advisor feedback
● A cleaner, streamlined design
All of these changes will go live on February 24, 2024 through the desktop and web illustration software on EquiNet®.

New! Digital Beneficiary Change Request option for clients (Individual insurance)
Great news! Equitable® has introduced a new Digital Beneficiary Change Request option for life insurance clients on Client Access.
Clients with eligible plans can now choose to make beneficiary changes directly online. It is another step in Equitable’s journey of enhancing the client experience.
Which plans are eligible?
Eligible
• Individually owned plans with revocable beneficiary designations.
• Plans with policy owners not living in Quebec.
Not eligible
• Plans with irrevocable or preferred beneficiaries.
• Plans with policy owners living in Quebec.
Our previous process, using form (#671BCF), has not changed. It continues to be available for those who prefer that option.
Note: The new Digital Beneficiary Change Request is currently only available to clients. We will be launching an advisor online option soon. Going forward, we will not make self serve transactions available to clients ahead of advisors.

What’s new in EZtransact
We’re excited to introduce the latest enhancement for EZtransact™, our digital self-serve tool. EZtransact now allows you to help clients:
• Easily make segregated fund withdrawals. This functionality is available for all account types, and for the First Home Savings Account, it also eliminates the need to submit additional CRA paper forms.
• Transfer from one fund to another fund digitally, within the same policy and same sales charge options.
These enhancements make it easier than ever to do business with Equitable®. They will help reduce your time spent on paperwork, allowing to you focus on more value-add time and services for clients.

Exciting update: External transfer now available on EZtransact!
We are thrilled to announce a new feature that will make your work easier and more efficient.
What’s new this quarter?
The External Transfer function was introduced to Equitable’s EZtransact® on May 14.
Benefits of this enhancement:
This feature is part of our strategic plan to help make transactions smoother for you. It was already available in EZcomplete®, and now it’s on EZtransact too. This means you won’t have to search for information about the relinquishing institution anymore. You can submit requests with ease.
External Transfer Functionality:If you have any questions, reach out to your Director, Investment Sales.
• You can digitally request a transfer of funds from other institutions to Equitable.
• Information about the relinquishing institution will be available on EZtransact, so you don’t have to search for it.
• Both full and partial transfer requests are available.
• It’s available for registration types that don’t need the RC720/RC721 form and for individual accounts.

Continuing Education Credits

To be eligible for CE credits, you must register individually, watch the webcast in full, and complete a short quiz. It is the advisor's responsibility to ensure Continuing Education credits being offered are accepted by their licensing body. Alberta Insurance Council (AIC) credits are valid in Yukon, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. Insurance Council of Manitoba (ICM) credits are valid in Manitoba only.

Delegation Requests Now Available on EquiNet
We are excited to announce a new feature that will help make it easier for you to do business with Equitable Life.
This new feature allows you, to submit a delegation request through the “Access” tab under your EquiNet profile.
Once the delegation request has been completed, the specified people will be able to view and manage the policies of the Advisor who submitted the request, as long as they have codes of their own within the system.

Changes to Pivotal Select NL-CB and NL-CB5 sales charge options
On December 7, 2024, Equitable will make changes to the commission chargeback schedule for Pivotal Select™ NL-CB and NL-CB5. These changes aim to provide a more consistent approach to applying chargebacks.
