  3. Stay connected with a NEW Web Illustration tool for Equimax

    Equitable Life® is pleased to announce the launch of our web illustration tool starting with Equimax® participating whole life insurance.

    This web illustration tool for Equimax is another way that Equitable Life is modernizing your experience and allowing you more flexibility to keep your business going while you’re on the road or meeting clients. This new illustration site is accessible on a web browser, so you can access it from a mobile device such as your phone, tablet, or iPad, and with MAC or Windows-based PCs or laptops.

    Access the new web illustration tool for Equimax by logging in to EquiNet® and clicking the button in the ribbon called Sales Illustration that now has a Web Illustrations option. Note that you have the option to continue running Equimax illustrations in the desktop illustration software, as it remains unchanged at this time.

    For future enhancements, we plan to integrate with EZcomplete®, to continue to make it easy to do business with Equitable Life.

    We have added a new online illustration for Equitable® Term life insurance illustrations that automatically populates the fields in your Term application. 

    We’ve designed the online illustration to be intuitive so you can fill in client details with ease. 
    ●  Select term plans and coverages of choice, then get an illustration report in minutes. 
    ●  You can save your web illustration progress at any time and view it from the online application dashboard. 
    ●  We’ve combined the illustration with our online application to make the process seamless. The illustration details you provide will auto-populate in the fields needed to complete the application. 

    New: You can create a term illustration without logging in to EquiNet.   

    We are taking another step in the journey towards enhancing the ways we do business.

  5. New internal transfer enhancement available on Equitable’s EZcomplete

    Advisors will now notice a new internal transfer enhancement in EZcomplete®, Equitable’s online application platform — and it’s designed to make life a whole lot easier. With this update, moving a client’s funds from an existing Equitable® segregated fund contract into a new Equitable Guaranteed Investment Funds™ contract is now faster, smoother and far more intuitive. 

    Here’s what you can expect: 

    • A clear, consolidated view of clients’ current contracts. 

    • Key details — like product type, current market value, sales charge and Guaranteed Interest Account terms — displayed right up front. 

    • Options to complete full or partial transfers. 

    • Helpful alerts that guide you through each step and help prevent mistakes. 

    Everything you need to complete an internal transfer is now in one spot — no more digging through old statements or searching for external documents. It’s a more streamlined, transparent experience for both you and clients. 

    You can access the enhancement directly within EZcomplete (Individual Wealth).

    As COVID-19 continues to spread, we want to reassure you that we remain ready and committed to support you and your clients.

    We have a robust and well-tested business continuity plan in place and our business is almost 100% digital. Almost 90% of our employees are now working remotely from home and are maintaining the high level of service you have come to expect from us. We still have a fully functioning Document Services Centre that is managing our incoming and outgoing mail. Our sales and customer service teams remain open to support you and your clients. 

    Equitable Life’s online application process, EZcomplete®, offers non face-to-face capability and continues to be your go-to resource for managing your business virtually. We are receiving a record number of online applications and are committed to helping you maintain a certain degree of daily activity. EZcomplete® non-face-to-face works for all life, critical illness and segregated fund applications.

    Advisors will be pleased to know that we have increased non-medical limits for life insurance. We are also looking at other underwriting changes, digital delivery of life insurance contracts and additional digital payment options.

    Our Savings & Retirement advisors will find our new Transaction Authorization Requirements table a valuable resource for submitting forms and documents. Can’t meet with your client in person to get a signature? Not to worry. You can have your  client sign a letter of direction and take a picture to authorize a number of transactions.

    Transacting in a non face-to-face environment can be a challenge but we will continue to revisit existing processes and look for ways to modify requirements to help you to continue managing your business. All of us are facing an unprecedented number of urgent situations where there is no established protocol. Our commitment to you and your clients is to respond quickly, and to be flexible where we can, tailoring solutions to specific needs.

    At Equitable®, we’re always looking for new ways to help you manage your business. We are excited to introduce our new web illustration tool for Critical Illness (CI) insurance. 

    This simple and intuitive tool integrates with the EZcomplete® dashboard to create a seamless experience. 

    Key features:
    ● Create CI illustrations for clients that easily transition to the application, with most fields auto populated.
    ● Save illustrations on your EZcomplete dashboard. This allows you to return and change or finish the quote at your convenience.
    ● Generate a fully compliant CI illustration PDF without logging into EquiNet®.

  9. Simplified Alternative ID Process is Now Available We have updated form 1710 to help you validate your client’s identification when you are not face-to-face, or if your client does not have one of the primary sources of ID.

    Form 1710, Verification of Identity for Policyowner, will simplify the ID collection process currently in place. This form will help you with the validation of ID and provide you with space to record the details. New with this form is the ability to validate your client’s ID over a video call by documenting the details of the ID, and then having your client hold up the document and read the information for you to validate. You no longer need to obtain and submit copies of the identification documents to Equitable.

    If your client requests the use of the Alternate ID process for a paper application, you can use this form to satisfy your identification validation requirements.
    For more information, please see Section 2 of Form 1710 entitled “Alternate ID”. As well, you can refer to the “how to complete form 1710” Guide for further details.

  10. Now better than ever! The updated “Understanding participating whole life insurance” (#1038) is here Our most-viewed client guide has gone through a full update. It now features new Equitable® branding and wording that makes all the difference.

    We’ve rewritten it to help clients grasp concepts like dividends better. And to help clients understand how we invest their premium payments in the participating account. It will help you have conversations with clients about the ins and outs of their participating whole life insurance policies.

    We’ve also refreshed the visuals throughout. The redone 1038 guide is another way we’re showing our wholehearted commitment to our participating policyholders.
